1. Introduction
Welcome to ToolDepot London.
These Terms & Conditions apply when you access our website, place an order with us or otherwise use our services.
Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. By placing an order through our website, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to ToolDepot London. “You” and “your” refer to the customer or website user.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to limit or exclude any rights you have under applicable UK consumer law.
2. About ToolDepot London
ToolDepot London is an online retailer offering tools, equipment and related products.
Our contact details and, where applicable, legal business information are provided on our website.
If you need assistance regarding these terms or an order, please contact us through our Contact Customer Support page.
3. Products
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, photographs and other information displayed on our website are accurate.
However, manufacturers may occasionally change product packaging, specifications or minor design details without notice.
Product images may therefore occasionally be illustrative.
Please check the complete product title, model number, specifications and “What’s Included” information before ordering.
Body Only Products
Where a cordless tool is described as “Body Only”, “Bare Unit” or similar, batteries and chargers are not included unless expressly stated otherwise in the product description.
Customers are responsible for checking compatibility before purchasing.
If you're uncertain about compatibility, please contact us before ordering.
4. Product Availability
All products are subject to availability.
Adding a product to your basket does not reserve it.
In the unlikely event that we are unable to supply an item after you have placed an order, we will contact you and take the appropriate steps, which may include cancelling the affected item and issuing any refund due.
Stock information displayed on the website may occasionally change before our systems have fully updated.
5. Prices
Prices are displayed in Pounds Sterling (GBP) unless otherwise stated.
The price payable is the price shown when you place your order, subject to correction of obvious pricing errors.
We may change our prices and promotional offers at any time. A subsequent price change does not normally affect an order that has already been accepted.
Where a product is reduced, any comparison or previous price displayed should be interpreted in accordance with the information presented with the offer.
6. Promotional Offers
From time to time, we may offer discounts, clearance promotions, warehouse sales or other promotional offers.
Promotions may:
- Apply only to selected products
- Be available for a limited period
- Be subject to stock availability
- Have additional promotional conditions
- Be changed or withdrawn where legally permitted
Where an offer is described as a warehouse clearance or moving sale, that description should reflect the actual circumstances of the promotion.
Discount codes cannot necessarily be combined with other promotions unless expressly stated.
7. Placing an Order
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your basket.
After ordering, you may receive an automated order confirmation. This confirms that we have received your order but does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.
A contract for the purchase of goods is formed when your order is accepted in accordance with our ordering process.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where there is a legitimate reason to do so, including suspected fraud, product unavailability or an obvious pricing or listing error.
If payment has already been taken for an order that we subsequently cancel, any amount due back to you will be refunded.
8. Payment
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.
Available payment methods may change from time to time.
Payments are processed using secure payment systems operated by us and/or our payment service providers.
Your bank or payment provider may require additional authentication or security checks before authorising a transaction.
We reserve the right to perform reasonable checks to help prevent fraudulent or unauthorised transactions.
9. Delivery
We aim to process and dispatch orders as quickly as reasonably possible.
Most orders are typically delivered within approximately 3 working days, although this is an estimate unless we expressly state that a delivery date is guaranteed.
Working days normally exclude Saturdays, Sundays and UK bank holidays.
Delivery times may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including carrier disruption, adverse weather, unusually high parcel volumes or other logistical issues.
10. Tracking
Where tracking is available, tracking information will normally be provided after dispatch.
Tracking information may not become active immediately after your parcel has been handed to the carrier.
If you believe your parcel is significantly delayed, please contact us with your order number.
11. Delivery Address
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
Please check your details carefully before completing your order.
If you notice an error after ordering, contact us immediately. We will try to make the requested change where possible, but we cannot guarantee that an address can be changed once processing or dispatch has begun.
12. Risk and Ownership
Responsibility for the goods passes in accordance with applicable law.
Nothing in these terms changes any consumer protection concerning responsibility for goods while they are being delivered to you.
Ownership of goods will pass to you when the applicable legal and payment requirements have been satisfied.
13. Your Right to Cancel
If you are purchasing as a consumer, you may have a legal right to cancel an online purchase under UK consumer law.
For many goods, this includes a statutory cancellation period beginning when the contract is formed and generally ending 14 days after you receive the goods, subject to applicable exceptions.
ToolDepot London additionally offers eligible customers a 30-day returns period, subject to our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Our additional returns policy does not replace or reduce your statutory rights.
14. Returns
Eligible products may be returned within 30 days of receipt, subject to our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Please contact us for the appropriate return instructions before sending an item back.
Returned goods should be appropriately packaged and include the components and accessories originally supplied where applicable.
Your legal rights in relation to faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods are separate from a change-of-mind return.
15. Condition of Returned Goods
You are entitled to inspect goods to determine their nature, characteristics and functioning.
Where permitted by law, we may make an appropriate deduction from a refund if goods have been handled beyond what would reasonably be necessary to inspect them and their value has consequently been reduced.
This does not affect your rights where goods are faulty or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.
16. Refunds
Where a refund is due, it will be processed using the applicable original payment method unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
The time it takes for a processed refund to appear in your account can depend on your bank or payment provider.
Any statutory requirements concerning refund amounts and timescales will apply.
17. Faulty or Damaged Products
If an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fails to meet applicable legal requirements, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
We may ask for information such as:
- Your order number
- A description of the problem
- Photographs
- Video demonstrating the issue
- Photographs of damaged packaging where relevant
Any information requested is intended to help us assess and resolve the issue efficiently and does not remove your statutory rights.
18. Incorrect or Missing Items
If you believe you have received an incorrect item or that something is missing from your order, please contact us.
Some orders may be delivered in multiple parcels, so please check the available tracking information first.
We will investigate and provide the appropriate resolution where an error has occurred.
19. Warranty
Products may be supplied with a manufacturer or product-specific warranty.
Warranty duration and conditions vary between products and manufacturers.
Manufacturer warranty coverage is separate from your statutory rights as a consumer.
Please see our Warranty & Product Support page for further information.
20. Cancelling or Changing an Order
If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible.
Because orders may enter processing quickly, we cannot guarantee that changes or cancellations can be made before dispatch.
Where an order has already been dispatched, your cancellation and return rights will apply as appropriate.
21. Our Responsibility to You
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts liability for matters that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
If you are purchasing as a consumer, your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
22. Events Outside Our Control
We will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control to the extent permitted by law.
Examples can include severe weather, carrier disruption, transport disruption, network failures or other unforeseen events.
Where such an event affects your order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise its impact.
23. Website Use
You may use our website for lawful personal shopping and information purposes.
You must not knowingly:
- Interfere with the operation or security of the website
- Attempt unauthorised access to systems or accounts
- Introduce malicious software
- Use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes
- Misuse content in violation of applicable intellectual property rights
24. Intellectual Property
Website content, including text, graphics, branding, design elements and original materials, may be protected by intellectual property rights.
Third-party product names, trademarks and logos remain the property of their respective owners.
Nothing on our website grants you ownership of those rights.
25. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions when necessary, including to reflect changes to our services, business operations or legal requirements.
The version applicable to an order will normally be the version in force when that order was placed.
26. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom, subject to any mandatory consumer protections and jurisdictional rights that apply to you.
27. Contact Us
If you have questions about these Terms & Conditions or an order, please contact ToolDepot London through our Contact Customer Support page.
